Principles Over Party Politics
My Promise to You
I will represent all the voters of CD 1 regardless of party affiliation. I will collaborate with both Republicans and Democrats to pass legislation which improves your life. I’m interested in solutions to make our healthcare system better, passing comprehensive immigration reform, and bringing our soldiers home from senseless foreign wars.
My Story
I grew up in the small town of Kirtland and graduated from Kirtland Central High. I lettered in 3 sports and was twice the 4A state champion in track and field. I was also involved in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the Eagle Scout award. After high school I had the opportunity to throw the javelin in college. Both years I finished top 10 at the NJCAA nationals. I left college in 2006 to join the Army National Guard. I served 6 years with a combat deployment to Afghanistan in 2007-2008. During my time in the military I received several awards and decorations and was promoted to sergeant. I spent the last three years of my enlistment as a member of the scout/sniper platoon. I graduated magna cum laude from ASU in 2011 with a B.A.E in secondary education with an emphasis in history. After college I worked for two fortune 500 companies before returning home to work in our small family business. I’m running for Congress to improve your healthcare and ensure you never go without insurance again. I’m running to solve our immigration system and end the border crisis. I’m running to end our senseless foreign wars and bring our troops home. I’m running to give small business owners a voice in Washington. Join our team and help send a principled veteran to Washington.
Compassion
After the tragic losses we’ve all experienced in the past year we need someone who isn’t interested in continuing our current toxic political atmosphere. We have to start seeing all Americans as our neighbors and friends again regardless of their politics.
Veteran
In January of 2006 I joined the Arizona National Guard and chose the only job I could ever imagine having in the military, 11B infantryman. In March 2007 my unit boarded a plane and flew to Afghanistan. My platoon spent the year in Mehtar Lam in Laghman province. Unfortunately, we did suffer some casualties. I know the horrors of war. I know the cost. Washington has become addicted to it. A constant war footing is not making us safer. It is slowly grinding our military capability and draining our resources. The only beneficiaries of war is the military industrial complex Eisenhower warned us about.
